We look for financially qualified, driven franchise owners who have a basic understanding of business management, and a thorough understanding of fashion. Our franchise owners are relationship builders, community leaders, and genuinely interested in serving all customers and consigners.

MODE Consignment will provide a thorough pre-opening training program that begins with a trip to either our Durham or Raleigh locations in North Carolina. There, you and your manager will spend five days learning the MODE Consignment franchise system. In conjunction with the franchisee commencing business operations, one franchisor representative will spend up to five days assisting the franchisee and their staff on-site at the franchisee’s location.

The estimated initial investment to begin operations ranges from $144,550 to $385,200. This includes a $30,000 initial franchise fee for a single territory agreement. As with any new venture, adequate capital is essential to fund the initial business growth stages.

We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case-by-case basis.

The franchise owner will be required to pay a royalty of 5% of monthly gross sales. Fees such as this allow us to fund our ongoing support services, as well as the continued development of software applications, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades. MODE Consignment franchisees will be required to spend up to $10,000 on an initial launch of the franchised business to generate awareness in the local market. Franchise owners will contribute up to 1% of gross revenues on an ongoing basis to the brand marketing fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the MODE Consignment brand and cover the creative costs to create brand marketing materials and campaigns. Franchisees will also be required to spend a minimum of 5% on monthly gross sales on local marketing. We will be there to guide you through the important aspects of how to own a resale boutique and how to promote it effectively within your local market.

The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with one subsequent successor agreement option of ten years each. After that, you have a business you can continue to grow, and a legacy you can leave for your community and family.
